Buder Scholars are subject to the same MSW program requirements as other Brown School students; namely students must complete 60 credits, including 960 practicum hours, to receive their degree.

Buder Scholars, like other Brown School students, entering the program with a BSW are waived 12 credits and are expected to complete 48 credits to receive their MSW within 3 semesters.

Buder Scholars can select from any of the concentrations that other MSW students may choose, including 

  • American Indian Social Welfare Policies and Administrative Practices S40-5749
  • Social Work and American Indians S31-4000 
  • Community Development with American Indian & Impoverished Rural Communities S60-5019
