The Interdisciplinary Leadership Summit was designed to increase awareness of current issues affecting minority communities. It fostered effective implementation of academic and practical expertise related to diversity, cultural competence, and inclusion. Throughout this summit, participants worked to define specific steps that will create change in practice and policy in multicultural environments.  There were 85 participants.

Additionally, summit attendees helped a community in need through the Impact Project with The St. Louis Area Foodbank. Through the summit, Washington University donated 69 pounds of food and $157.00 which will provide 630 meals for the area’s needy.
